Hi there, Just got back from the first european x games in tignes. Let me take you thrue the week.
  • a (fun) day in les 2 alpes a (fun) day in les 2 alpes
Hi, I just got back from les 2 alpes. I first went there for the kumi yama, a fun team contest that we won with my friends Aluan Ricciardi and Arthur Longo, then I stay for a few more days to train.

Test double corks without airbag!
Hi all,

After The Tony Hawk show, I went back on the snow in Laax with the French team, where we have found a pretty good pipe to train far from all the "US/Colorado" hype, it snowed a lot so we could get a few pow turns and get used to the transition again and test double corks without airbag!  Check the link http://www.vimeo.com/8180869
Funny to hear how happy is the coach, Stephane, for me.

After a 10 days period training no stop I went back to France for a week-end, I was supposed to take it easy and I almost did. First I went to Courchevel for “trophée passion” award, kind of the Oscar ceremony for French mainstream sport journalists where best media dudes receive golden microphone. I met up with my friend Bixente who won the newomer axward for his radio show on RTL. After a gala dinner with interesting people I drove the next morning to Avoriaz for the last stage of Rock on Snowboard tour mixed with the opening of the resort. I gave interview for Orange TV, rode with my friend Sylvain Bourbousson and could catch up with the French scene, which is always a pleasure. Now I’m back to Laax till this week end where I’ll be in Domaine du tourmalet- la Mongie for the Rendez Vous Des Etoiles in my home resort in the Pyrenees to celebrate the World Snowboard Day on December 20th. I’m looking forward to that and to a family vibe Christmas.
Most of the resorts are opening now so enjoy your upcoming holiday and talk soon.

early december update
Hi all,
Last time I updated the blog I was in Paris for the Quiksilver tony hawk show, but I didn't really tell you how it was. Well one word sums it: amazing. First the place, the grand palais, huge building in the heart of paris and loaded of history. Then the show, Tony Hawk still throwing 900°, Jean Postec showing that frenchies know how to ride big and smooth and Lin Z adams first girl ever to stick a mc twist! And of course all the athletes who made the Quiksilver legend. Serge Vitelli, who gave me his passion of snowboarding and that I respect a lot, Todd Richards who made me want to stick to freestyle riding, all my friends from the actual Quik team, Markku, freddy, Travis, Jeremy, Miky... And being also a surfer, the craziest for me was to be with Mark Richards, one of the most crowned surf champ ever, telling me that he was so hooked by snowboarding that he only buys snowboard mags instead of surfing's! And to name just another few Robby Naish, Tom Carroll and of course Kelly Slater. Well great times there!
Now I'm back on the snow in Laax, where we have a pretty good pipe to train far from all the "US/colorado" hype, it snowed a lot so we could get a few pow turns and double corks are getting there!
Most of the resorts are openning now so enjoy and talk soon.

Saas Fee
Hey, this is live from Saas Fee, I've been here for almost 2 weeks now.
First for the world cup, witch happened in a typical Saas Fee weather, 80 km/h wind, freezing cold, but it was fun to feel the pressure of the contest again. Good result for me, I got second with trying a totally new run witch the judges seemed to like!
Then I stayed for some training, the pipe was in good shape, pretty icy but good shape!
And now, we're are having an other airbag session with most of the european national teams witch hoppefully will help europe to compete against the US with the big bucks!
Anyway, I'll be leaving Saas fee soon, a few days at home and then Paris for the Quiksilver/orange Tony Hawk Show. See you there!

Sorry for the photo, that's all I had for now;)

Training 2 alpes
French Team
I've just had a week training in les 2 alpes with all the french team, wich was a little special cause we manage with the help of the resort and coca-cola zero to put an  airbag in the pipe.
It was the first time in europe and a great chance for us to try some new tricks specially different kind of double corked rotations.
Next step will be to try those tricks on the snow, but it was great to get the feeling of the tricks and get confident with them.
I'm now on my way to Saas Fee for the first world cup, I'll let you know how it goes.
Later!

European X Games press conference
Just got back from Paris where ESPN and canal + hold a press confrence/party anouncing the first ever winter x games in europe and they chose France for their venue.
So yesterday night the whole freestyle ski and snowboarding world gathered in Paris along with a few "people" to celebrate this big anouncement.
As a french rider I'm pretty stocked about that, and along with the olympics this is a big goal for me and it adds a bit more pressure to an already pretty rich season!!!
So a lot of training needed for those contests, I'll be back on the snow next week with a little surprise!

New Zealand

This time it’s winter, well almost. I joined the all Quiksilver team for our annual photoshoot in Mt Cook, New Zealand, but after a great start of the season over there, it turned warm on rained all the way to the top. Not a single powder turn and it was already time to get to Wanaka and the first half pipe world cup of the season.
The level in the pipe got pretty crazy while I was recovering, with pretty much everybody training on airbags and throwing double corks and stuff! But few days of training got my confident back, and I was actually surprised on how I was riding after such a long break.
But once again karma hasn’t been good to me and on the trainings for the contest I sprained my ankle.
I’ve been resting for 10 days now, witch allowed me to visit the south coast of New Zealand in a camper van with Arthur and Bourbousse and I’m now back in Wanaka and will go ride tomorrow to see how my ankle feels. I’m staying for one more month so surfing will have to wait a little bit!

Holidays Mexico
Here I am in the south of Mexico, speaking Spanish a bit witch is fun, pretty nice place, amazing culture and cool people. But it’s hot, too hot, how do they do it!
Trip is ending, 2 weeks here surfing some of the best waves of the planet made me want to explore more of that country, but I’m still young, and it was time to be back on the snow.

Training Mt Hood
After my foot injury in February, I couldn’t wait for the time I would finally be back on the snow! So my « endless winter » summer would start up in Mt Hood. I went there for almost a month and as usual I had a lot of fun. Pipe and weather were great until Arthur Longo, Aluan Ricciardi and our coach joined me. The High cascade park crew had pulled up a 22 ft pipe for the US team to come train and we got lucky to be able to ride that pipe, but the weather got a little tricky.
Anyway, that was a fun trip, it felt amazing to be back on the snow, I got some new tricks in my bag and that was good for the upcoming olympic season. The only bad thing was that my foot was still feeling sore, so I decided to take a break and went surfing in Mexico. Life’s hard!

Tahiti
Quiksilver surf trip
To finish my recovery I received a great present from Quiksilver. I was invited to the annual surf photoshoot in tahiti to promote my eco circle boardshort along with all the Quik team.
Amazing trip, surfing every day with all the pros of the team and the world tour, even had an insane session on a secret spot with Slater, Irons, Parko, Flores, Picon...
I was also there to celebrate my good friends Caroline Béliard and Gary Zebrowski's wedding, witch was pretty fun.
Thanks to Quiksilver, Jasper, the Riou family, Raimana and the boys for those great times. But now it's soon time to be back on the snow, I can't wait.
